Children sing songs and do hand motions during Alger Assembly of God VBS on Monday evening. About 120 youngsters and helpers were on hand for "Cave Quest" which runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through Friday.

Alger Assembly of God will hold Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 25, to Friday, July 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the church. It is open to youth ages 4 through fifth grade.
This year's VBS theme is Cave Quest: Following Jesus The Light of the World.
A Family Fun Day takes place Sunday, July 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes music, inflaatables and free food.
The church is located at 7059 State Route 235, Alger.

The community is invited to worship at Ada War Memorial Park Sunday, July 24, with Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
A continental breakfast will be available at 9:30 a.m., followed by songs and worship in the brown shelter house near the back of the park. Pastor Courtnie will continue the Disney at the Movies series with this weeks homily theme: Pocahontas.
