Ada Full Gospel Church will have several programs this Sunday.
The Christmas play, "Starstruck," will be performed during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Santa will visit the Sunday School classes. A candlelight service is set for 6 p.m.
The church is located at 1047 SR 235 north of Ada. Karen and Fred Rarey are the pastors.

Ada Church of Christ will host a community candlelight service on Saturday, Dec. 17. Cornerstone Gospel Quartet and Peggy Richardson will sing. The evening will begin with light refreshments at 6 p.m. followed by the service at 7 p.m. which will conclude with the singing of "Silent Night."

Ada First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, along with many friends from ONU, will present their annual Christmas Cantata titled, "Jesus! The Advent of the Messiah" by Mary McDonald and Rose Aspinall.
The performance is at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, during the morning worship service.
The 30-member choir will be accompanied by a full orchestra of community musicians and ONU students.

The Ada Presbyterian Church will hold its annual soup supper and Christmas auction at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The Women's Guilt is sponsoring the event with proceeds going to mission projects.
A variety of soups will be available, plus salad and dessert, for $6 for adults and $3 for children.
The auction, including "blue light" specials, will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Dick Hubbard as auctioneer. There also will be a raffle.

The ONU University Singers and Chamber Singers will present their holiday concert, “Before the Marvel of this Night,” at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at Ada First United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public.
Celebrate the Christmas season by singing carols of the season, contemplating passages from the Gospel of Luke and listening to the musical offerings by the talented choral musicians of Ohio Northern University.

Alger United Methodist Church held a dedication and blessing of a Community Outreach Center following the Sunday morning worship service.
Here, Pastor Andy Burns, and Melissa Moore, chairperson of the outreach board, stand by the sign that marks the center at North Main and Place Street.
The Neighbor to Neighbor center has been an active place since it first opened in May. For example, More than 100 local families receive free food there each month from the West Ohio Food Bank.
