Rotary will live stream Board of Education candidate forum October 13

Ada Rotary Club will live stream its forum for Ada Board of Education candidates on the club’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AdaRotaryClubOfOhio)  for those who cannot attend in person.

The forum is scheduled Wednesday evening, October 13, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Dicke Hall on the campus of Ohio Northern University.

All six candidates for two open seats are participating. They include Chase Archer, Adam Baumgartner, Denise D’Arca, Ron Fleming, Margaret Gordon and Ted Griffith. Fleming is the only incumbent.

October 5 Board of Education meeting to appoint new member

The Ada Exempted Village Schools, 725 W North Ave., have announced a special Board of Education Meeting for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. The purpose of the meeting is appoint a new board member.

Board members are Matt Gossman, president; Dr. Amy Mullins, Ronald Fleming and Tome Dearth.

Special Board of Education Meeting Sept 28

The Ada Exempted Village School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 to accept the resignation of a board member.

The meeting will be located in the board room and is a confidential executive session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing.
