School board meets Thursday

The Ada board of education's March meeting is at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 17, in the board of education room.

Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H Club first meeting March 15

Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H Club will hold additional sign-up times on Tuesday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m.  at Ada First Presbyterian Church. 

The club's first meeting of the year will follow at 7 p.m. 

4-H is open to youth 8 years of age and in the 3rd grade. Regular club meetings will be held the first, third and fifth Tuesdays of the month March 15 through July 19 at the church.

Celebration of Life for "Stretch" Roberson April 16 at ONU

The family of Arden E. "Stretch" Roberson will hold a celebration of life for Mr. Roberson at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 16, in the English Chapel at Ohio Northern University.

Roberson, 89, died on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. He was a football coach and college professor at Ohio Northern University.

Ada Library Building Committee Meeting

Just a reminder that there is a meeting of the Ada Public Library Building Committee tonight at 6p.m. in the Library's Meeting Room.

ONU has two Division III All-Americans - and they are both sophomores

Ohio Northern University has two Division III NCAA track and field All-Americans - and they are both sophomore.

Ohio Northern sophomore Emily Richards earned All-America honors in the 800-meter run on the second and final day of the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Bear Recreation and Athletic Center.

Richards came from the back of the pack with 300 meters to go, but was unable to overtake the race winner and was nipped at the tape for third place, finishing in 2:12.00.

Beta Alpha Psi accepts new organization pledges and inductees

Ohio Northern University’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi accepted new organization pledges and inductees into its chapter during a ceremony on Jan. 28. In addition, the chapter inducted ONU alumna Joanne Lipski as an honorary member.

Ohio Northern University’s Dicke College of Business Administration will present “Transformational Leadership: How to Identify Your Strengths,” a lecture by Sheri Stoltenberg, as part of the Carroll V. Lovett Distinguished Lecture Series in the Dicke Forum on Wednesday, March 23, at 7 p.m.

Stoltenberg is the founder and CEO of Stoltenberg Consulting Inc., a health care IT consulting firm that has helped more than 250 health care organizations across the country implement, manage and better utilize information and business systems.
