Senior quarterback Tate Humphrey has been named OAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 22.

On Saturday, Humphrey completed 21-of-43 passes for a career-high 306 yards and a touchdown, as the Polar Bears fell to John Carroll by a score of 28-23. In addition, he also ran for 30 yards on 21 carries and also scored a touchdown.

This season, Humphrey has thrown for 988 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also rushed for 224 yards and a team leading four touchdowns. Northern stands at 2-5 on the season, with a 2-4 mark in OAC play.

Ohio Northern rallied from a 28-16 deficit, but were held scoreless on two trips inside the 5-yard line in the fourth quarter and fell 28-23 at John Carroll Saturday night at Don Shula Stadium.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-5 overall and 2-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Blue Streaks improve to 5-2, 4-2.

Last Friday, the Ada Bulldogs traveled down the road to play Allen East, finishing with a lopsided 42-14 victory over the Mustangs for the Bulldogs' eighth consecutive win of the season. The win puts Ada's record at 8-0 (6-0 NWC) and Allen East's at 1-7 (1-6 NWC).

Ada was first to score on a 17 yard pass from senior quarterback Mason Acheson to junior receiver Matt Wilcox with 9:49 remaining in the first. Hunter Waller's PAT was good, making it 7-0, Ada.

ADA--Senior Nate Bascom became Ohio Northern's all-time points and assists leader, as the No. 8 Ohio Northern men's soccer team defeated Heidelberg by a 5-0 score Tuesday night at Mayer Field.

The Polar Bears are now 15-2 on the season and 6-0 in the OAC while Heidelberg falls to 8-6-1, 3-2-1.

The win also clinched the seveth consecutive OAC Tournament apperance for the Polar Bears.

Bascom became ONU all-time points leader early in the game when he took a pass from senior Cameron Johnson and beat the goalie to give Northern a 1-0 lead.

ADA -- Senior Ellen Grenert had 17 kills and freshman Ellie Gillespie had 14 kills and 18 digs to lead the Ohio Northern volleyball team to a thrilling 25-14, 28-26, 21-25, 20-25, 15-11 victory over Heidelberg Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

With the win, the Polar Bears improve to 20-5 overall and move into third place in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 4-2 record.

The Student Princes fall to 16-8, 4-3 with the loss.

Marian Bevington led four HU players in double figures in kills with a match-high 18.

Senior Kelsie Zumberger dished out 45 assists and junior Jeni Kmic had 25 digs for the Polar Bears.
