The Voices of Ohio, choral group, will return to Ada to perform in a 7 p.m., Saturday, May 18, concert at First United Methodist Church.
Melanie Caw Woods, member of the church, is also a member of the choir.
This is the choir’s second performance in Ada. At the suggestion of Melanie, the choir earlier performed a benefit concert for the church after its building burned to the ground on March 12, 2012.
That concert raised over $5,000 toward the rebuilding of the church building.
A new group has formed in Ada - it's for anyone 50 and older. The group is called "O. W. L. S. (Older, Wiser, Living Saints)."
O.W.L.S. meets at Wesley Fellowship Hall, First United Methodist Church, Ada, for lunch and fellowship at noon every third Wednesday of each month. This month's meeting is on May 15.
"Food is provided. We will also have some sort of program each month and hopefully some fun," according to Judy Lusk.
