Harvest & Herb royalty court

Meet the 2022 Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb Royalty Court, all Ada seniors, L-R:  Amelia Alexander, daughter of Robert and Shelleigh Alexander, Kaitlyn Bowden, daughter of Christina and Dan Bowden, Courtney Sumner, daughter of Jason and Jennifer Sumner. Women's golf finishes 2nd at Olivet invitational

MARSHALL, Mich.⎯The Ohio Northern University women's golf team opened its 2022 fall season with a second place finish at the 16-team Olivet (Mich.) Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational Friday and Saturday at The Medalist Golf Club.

RCIA classes begin at Our Lady of Lourdes on Sept. 18

For those interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the Catholic faith, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is hosting RCIA classes beginning on Sunday, September 18 from 6:30-7:30pm. 

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes will run on Sundays until Easter.

Classes will take place in the Parish Hall (attached to the Church) at 300 E. Highland Avenue.

Vikings top Bulldogs in NWC opener

The Ada High School football team lost at Leipsic 47-14 in the Northwest Conference opener on September 9⎯their first road game of the season. Ada dropped to 1-3 and 0-1 in the NWC with the loss. Meanwhile, the Vikings improved to 2-2 and 1-0 in the league with the win.

The Vikings tallied 20 first-period points and took that lead to intermission. Ada scored two third-quarter touchdowns, but Leipsic added 21 points of their own in the stanza to carry a 27-point cushion into the final stanza.

Freed Center season opens on September 29

The Freed Center for the Performing Arts at Ohio Northern University has announced the 2022-23 season in the online brochure linked HERE. Eleven performances are scheduled, spanning music, drama, musical theater and dance.
