Ada High School will hold its 115th Interclass contest at 7 p.m., Friday, March 19.
Interclass has been an Ada tradition that is unique to the community. It started in 1907 when Superintendent C.H. Freedman proposed an academic competition between the 10th, 11th and 12th grades.
Interclass celebrates the written and spoken word. Students compete in the areas of essay writing, poetry, short story, and dramatic reading. In each category, one winner has been chosen from each grade after an internal competition within the classes.
