Project | SEARCH is a year-long program offered by Apollo Career Center. This program is tailored for students with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Ada Food Pantry reports usage lower than 2023

The Ada Food Pantry posted the attached graphic and report on 2024 usage: "Many thanks to everyone in the community who supports the Food Pantry! Useage has been a bit lower than in 2023, although still higher than the previous six years.

"We also currently provide weekend food to more than 60 K-5 students with the Ada Bulldog Blessings Backpack Program. This wouldn't be possible without your donations!"

November 2024 Liberty Township park commission minutes

Board discussed soliciting bids for new stadium lights

Provided by the Liberty Twp. park commission

Commissioners for the Park District of Liberty Township--Fred Reichert, Bob Szuch and Neal Dumbaugh--met on November 18. The attached minutes detail the activity at the meeting, which was held at the park office.

There was one guest present: J R Mason presented information on purchasing new stadium lights. The board approved putting the project out for bid in spring of 2025.

Ada boys basketball edged in OT by Allen East

ADA – The Ada High School boys basketball team battled back from a big deficit to force overtime, but ultimately lost a hard-fought 56-53 thriller to backyard rival Allen East in the taut home opener Saturday night, December 7.

Ada wrestlers place 2nd at Cory Duals

RAWSON __ The Ada High School wrestling team began its season with a solid showing at the annual Cory-Rawson Duals event Saturday, December 7.

The Bulldogs went 3-2 in dual meets at the competition to finish in a second-place tie. Archbold won the event at 5-0.

Ada defeated the host Hornets 48-36, whipped Delphos Jefferson 54-18 and handled Ottawa-Glandorf 54-24.

The Bulldogs lost 40-30 to Liberty-Benton, and fell 75-4 to Archbold.

Senior Liam Vieira finished 5-1 on the day to pace Ada. He recorded three pins at the 144 lbs. weight class.

Ada boys swim team sweeps quad meet

OTTAWA- The Ada High School swim teams dove into their season with a strong showing in a four-team meet at the Putnam County YMCA Thursday, December 5, in Ottawa.

The Ada boys won all three of their dual meets. The Bulldog males beat Bluffton 31-19, stomped Bath 41-17 and whipped McComb 42-6.

Bluffton beat the Bulldog girls, 53-28. The Ada girls rebounded to shut out McComb 40-0 and beat Bath 38-20.

In combined team scores Ada beat Bath 79-37, defeated McComb 82-6 and lost to Bluffton 72-59.

“The meet went very well with a lot of swimmers swimming their best times already,” said head coach Ashley Robey. “They all did awesome, and I can't wait to see what they continue to accomplish throughout the season.”

Bulldog senior Lily Baumgartner easily won two individual races, the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

The Village is working in partnership with Neptune Equipment Company (NECO) installers to successfully implement the water meter replacement project.
