The host Ada High School boys soccer team blanked winless Marion Harding 5-0 on a cool Thursday night under the lights at War Memorial Park Stadium to strongly commemorate Senior Night on October 13.

The Bulldogs improved to 7-6-4 following the non-conference victory. MH fell to 0-14 with the loss.

Five of the six Ada seniors scored goals in their final regular season home game. 

Seniors Brendan Jameson and Jaden Leal scored early for Ada. Senior Dillon Hartman also netted a penalty kick goal to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 bulge after the first 15 minutes of play.

The score stayed 3-0 to intermission.

The visiting Ada High School girls soccer team lost to Miller City 9-1 in a non-conference match Thursday evening, October 13.

The Ada High School boys soccer team has been seeded ninth out of 12 teams in the Div. III Tiffin sectional/district.

Ada (6-6-3) will play at seven seed Van Buren (5-5-4) in sectional first round action Wednesday, October 19 at 5 p.m. 

The Bulldogs and Black Knights played to a 1-1 tie at VB October 6.

The Ada/VB winner plays at third seed Mansfield Christian Saturday, Oct. 22 at noon in the sectional finals.

If form holds, top seed Huron awaits the winner of that sectional Oct. 26 at the Tiffin district semifinals. The district finals at Tiffin will be Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.

Improving Ada High School football hosts Crestview in its sixth and final home game of the 2022 season this Friday, October 14.

Crestview is 4-4 and 1-4 in the Northwest Conference after outscoring Spencerville 14-0 in the second half en route to a 21-7 win on the road in week eight.

Ada is 2-3 at home, while Crestview is 2-1 on the road.  

Tournament play begins Oct 18

SPENCERVILLE--The visiting Ada High School volleyball team swept Spencerville handily to capture their Northwest Conference and regular season finale Tuesday night.

The decisive 25-20, 25-12, 25-18 victory lifted the Lady Bulldog record to 11-11 overall and 2-6 in the NWC. Ada finished tied for sixth place in the nine-team league with Delphos Jefferson and Columbus Grove.

Ada beat Grove, but lost at Jefferson. The Bulldogs had a far better overall record than CG (4-16) and DJ (5-16).

The Bearcat girls dropped to 3-15 and 0-8 in the NWC to finish last in the league.

Three set loss to Upper Sandusky on October 10

Playing at home, the Ada High School volleyball team battled but lost a three-setter to Upper Sandusky in a non-conference match Monday on their annual "Dig for the Cure" cancer benefit night on October 10.

Proceeds from the event went to benefit the family of former Ada teacher Julie Butterfield. Over five thousand dollars was raised.
