Liberty Belles and Boys special drive have people and pets in mind

The Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H Club collected pet supplies and food.

About 160 food items were given to the Ada Food Pantry.

Cadets enter final week in Ada before summer tour

Spring training is winding down for The Cadets, the junior drum and bugle corps that has been in residence at Ohio Northern University since early May. 

This is their last week of rehearsals before they begin a multi-state summer performance and competition circuit that will take them from Massachusetts to Texas. They’ll conclude their time in Ada with a free performance for the public on Sunday, June 14, at 8 p.m. at ONU’s Dial-Roberson Stadium.

Representative Sprague to host Storytime @ Ada Library

Representative Robert Sprague (R), Ohio House District 83, will be hosting a superhero themed Storytime for the children of Hardin County this Thursday, June 11th at 1p.m. at the Ada Public Library.

This is your chance to meet your local representative!

NY Times Bestselling Author will be @ Ada Library

New York Times  and USA Today bestselling author, Shelley Shepard Gray, will be visiting the Ada Public Library, Saturday, June 13th at 11a.m.

Gray is best known for her Amish fiction books--which are extremely popular with the patrons of the Ada Public Library--and will be selling copies of her latest book, The Proposal at Siesta Key. The Library's Amish Book Club, led by Natalie Walton, is currently reading the first book in the series, The Promise of Palm Grove, and copies are available for checkout at the Library.

The event is FREE and open to all!

Painting tips

Instructor Marilyn Reed gives some painting tips to Tallene Eichelberger during a PaintINN at the Inn on Thursday evening.

The topic for the canvas was "Sunset on the Water." The next PaintINNs will be July 1 (Bicycle and Wicker Basket) and Aug. 4 (Writing in the Sand).

Saturday is your final change to get mulch

Saturday, June 6, will be the last day that the Ada Lions Club sells mulch this year.

Profits go for scholarships for Ada students. Sales will begin at 8 a.m. at Bass Trucking on State Route 81 just west of Ada.
