Summer Sounds Choral Festival registration underway at Miss Vicki's Music Studio

Miss Vicki’s Music Studio, 2613 State Route 81, Ada, is now accepting registrations for its Summer Sounds Choral Festival planned for Monday to Friday, Aug. 3-7, according to Vicki Mills, studio owner.

Grace Gospel Church, 321 N. Gilbert St., Ada, is the location of the week-long festival.

The festival is for second to fourth graders and fifth to eighth graders. Sessions are daily from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

Singing, special instruments, music games, movement, arts and crafts and a community concert is part of the festival, according to Mills. “It will be lots of fun,” she said.

Hardin Hootenannies hear Sun Safety report, plan upcoming meetings

The Hardin County Hootenannies met at  Miranda Holbrook's place.  President Isaac Davis opened  and asked Riley Fleece to lead the 4-H Pledge after Seth Davis was to begin the American Pledge.  Secretary Miranda Holbrook took roll call with members telling their favorite time of the year. There were seven members present.

45 years with lots of pep for Ada
