Citrus Bowl - here we come; four from Hardin County HEAT

Four members of the Hardin County HEAT cheerleading squad will perform in the 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

The four are students at Ada Middle School, Hardin Northern Middle School, Kenton Elementary School and Ridgemont Middle School. Hardin County HEAT Cheerleading is a program of the Hardin County Family YMCA, Kenton. There are four squads comprised of 25 members, ages 3 (preschool) to 15 (10th grade).

Ada HS girls' tennis "Serve for the Cure" match Sept. 23 for Amelia Griffin benefit

The Ada High School girls' yennis team will dedicate their match against Lima Central Catholic to "Serve for the Cure" for the benefit of Amelia Griffin, according to Scott Wills, coach.  

The match against Lima Central Catholic will start at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23. 

There will be a bake sale in conjunction with the home tennis match along with serving contests for kids and adults with all proceeds to support Amelia. 

Free pizza is being donated by Padrone's Pizza for attendees.  General donations are encouraged and accepted as well.

ONU receives $133,000 Cardinal Health grant to support pharmacy students

Cardinal Health has awarded the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy a $113,000 grant to provide increased support for current and future pharmacy students with an interest in community and independent pharmacy.

Ohio Northern was chosen as a recipient based on its commitment to advancing the independent pharmacy profession. The College of Pharmacy’s core curriculum, combined with its experiential learning and student-run organizations, provide unique, focused opportunities to educate students interested in independent pharmacy.
