She likes tea, so she made her own tea strainers

Alexandra Boyadzhiev, Ada High School senior, like to drink tea.

So, in art class, she decided to create her on tea strainers. She says that she got the idea from tea strainers she saw in the Ten Thousand Villages shop in Bluffton. Here's a view of three of the strainer as a work in progress.

The photo below show Alexandra working on one of the strainers.

 

16 ONU law students studying in southeast Asia

Ohio Northern Law Professor Kevin Hill and 16‪ ONU law‬ students are traveling to Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand starting today.

There's a new floor in town and it's at ReStore - grand re-opening Tuesday afternoon

ReStore announced a "Re-Opening."

The Main Street community center closed on Dec. 17 as a new floor was installed over the holidays. The total project costs $15,000.

According to its Faceook announcement, here's the plan:

• We will have our grand re-opening at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5.

 • We will open for our first community meal (Crock pot Tuesday) of 2016 at 4 p.m. and enjoy our beautiful brand new floor.

New doctor joins Bluffton Women's Care

Robert Schutz, MD, has joined Bluffton Women’s Care, 559 Harmon Road, Bluffton, part of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices.

Dr. Schutz provides obstetrics and gynecological care, and is accepting new and existing patients. He is joined at Bluffton Women’s Care by his longtime associates certified nurse midwives Tonya Fenzl and Shirley Cole.

Stratton Minix was retired from Ford Motor Co.

Stratton Minix, 81, died on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at 11:54 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.  

He was born on Jan. 6, 1934, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, to Bill and Laura (Watkins) Minix and they preceded him in death. He was raised by Leander and Laura Rowe. Stratton married Bonnie L. Burris on Dec. 31, 1982, and she survives in Alger. 

Stratton retired in 1999 after 35 years from Ford Motor Company, Lima as a stock handler. He was a life member of the McGuffey Conservation Club. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
