ReStore back in business, so stop in and stand on the new floor

Photo and story by Monty Siekerman

ReStore has a new floor and is once again open for business, meals, and events.

The community center closed in mid-December, after sponsoring many Christmas events, and reopened Tuesday with the nonskid, multicolored floor.

Here, Dana Walters, director, and Robert Kanzig, assistant director, admire the upgrade.

The original floor was installed many years ago when the Main Street location was known as Messick's Dime Store, later to be Peper Drugs for many years.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library plans Ada celebration this month

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Hardin County is celebrating the completion of its 10th year of existing in Hardin County.

The library is a unique early years book gifting program that mails a brand new, age-appropriate book to enrolled children every month from birth until five years of age, creating a home library of up to 60 books and instilling a love of books and reading from an early age.

Any community in the USA, Canada, Australia or UK may replicate the Imagination Library and sponsor the regular gifting of books to every child under five in their community.
