Bulldog volleyball sweeps T-Birds

The visiting Ada High School varsity volleyball team defeated non-league foe Lima Central Catholic in straight sets Thursday evening, September 7.

The Bulldog record improved to 6-3 after the lopsided 25-12, 25-20, 25-17 victory.

Week 4 football preview: Bulldogs visit Knights in final NWC opener

In a battle of 2-1 teams, the Ada High School football team visits Crestview for the Northwest Conference opener, their last before joining the BVC, in week four Friday night.

Ada is over .500 heading into week four for the first time since 2017, when they started out 3-1. The Bulldogs finished 7-4 and made the playoffs for the last time that season.

Bulldogs host Riverdale on September 7

The Ada High School girls soccer team tied visiting non-conference foe Delphos St. John’s 1-1 on a hot and steamy Tuesday evening, September 5, under the lights at War Memorial Stadium. 

Ada ran its record to 3-1-1 overall with the draw. DSJ stayed undefeated at 3-0-4 after the tie.

Bulldog golf places 4th at Hardin County Invitational

The Ada High School varsity golf team competed at the 15th annual, five-team Hardin County Invitational match in Kenton at Memorial Golf Course on Saturday, September 2.

Ridgemont won the event with 184 strokes, followed by Riverdale in second at 188.

Ada hosts Spencerville in NWC opener Sept. 12

The Ada High School varsity volleyball team split a tri-match vs. visiting non-league foes Hardin Northern and Arlington Saturday morning, September 2.

The Bulldog record is 5-3 after the doubleheader split.

Ada lost a close first match to Arlington 25-23, 25-23. 

“It was a tough loss,” said Ada head coach Kyleigh Woodruff. “Both sets were tied at the end, but we made two late unforced errors to lose each game.

“It was a very back and forth match, and we just made too many errors,” she noted. “It was a close, tough match.”

Ada senior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 15 assists vs. Arlington. She also hit three kills, came up with five digs and served four aces. 

Bulldog football runs past Bucks

The Ada High School football team made the long trip to Buckeye Central for a non-league outing Friday night, and came away with a crucial 41-25 win over the hosts in their final pre-conference tune-up.

Ada improved to 2-1 with the impressive road victory that bolstered their early-season playoff hopes. 

The Bucks, who had shut out two winless teams in a pair of blowouts prior to playing Ada, dropped to 2-1 after the defeat.
