The Ada High School baseball team lost a 13-7 slugfest to visiting Lima Central Catholic in a non-conference contest Monday evening, April 24.

The Bulldog boys fell to 4-9 overall with the defeat.  LCC improved to 6-1 with the win.

Playing at home, the Ada High School softball team rallied late but lost 5-4 to Lima Central Catholic in a non-conference matchup Monday evening, April 24.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, and had the tying run on third base with one out.

Brown, Grose dominate hurdle events

DOLA–The Ada High School girls track and field team took fourth and the Bulldog boys finished fifth at the annual 12-team Hardin Northern Invitational Saturday, April 22.

Ada juniors Julian Grose and Jackson Brown crossed the finish line one-two in the 300-meter hurdles to post the top Ada individual showing.

Brown also won the 110-meter high hurdles, while Grose took fourth.

Posting third-place finishes for Ada were Logan Jolliff (100 meters), Mariah King (300 hurdles), Lydia DeMascio (800 meters) and Courtney Sumner (400 meters).

Riverdale won the girls team title with 186.5 points. Pandora-Gilboa was a distant second (78), with Ada a strong fourth of 11 at 51.5 points.

Leipsic edged host Hardin Northern 117-103 to capture the boys team crown. Ada came in a solid fifth with 68 points.

CONTINUES WITH INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

The visiting Ada High School tennis team lost a tight 3-2 battle at St. Marys Thursday evening, April 20.

The Bulldogs dropped to 2-3 with the loss. SM improved to 8-2 after the win.

DELPHOS–The visiting Ada High School softball team ran out to a big early lead and run-ruled Delphos Jefferson 15-5 in a Northwest Conference battle Thursday evening, April 20.

With the victory, Ada remained tied for first in the conference standings with Crestview at 5-0.

The Bulldogs’ overall record improved to 14-1 after the win. The Wildcats dropped to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in NWC with the loss.

DELPHOS – The Ada High School baseball team lost at Delphos Jefferson 8-1 in a Northwest Conference road contest Thursday evening.  

The Bulldog boys fell to 4-8 overall and 0-5 in the NWC with the defeat.  DJ improved to 4-8 overall and 2-2 in NWC play with the win.
