Representatives of the Ada Library will be walking around Ada downtown Tuesday between noon and 1 p.m. passing out free books to non-readers and people who don't enjoy reading, according to Amanda Bennett, director of the library.
It's all part of the 2013 World Book Night.
"We will be passing out 20 copies of Tina Fey's Bossypants (a funny autobiography of the actress' life) in the hopes of getting more adults interested in reading," said Bennett. "The books are free because authors have foregone their royalties to make this possible, this is also possible through the generosity and hard work of many volunteers!"
The Ohio Northern baseball team will play in Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians, on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 pm against Case Western Reserve.

The club is taking orders now and urges Icon viewers to place their owners soon. Proceeds from the sale support the Lions scholarship fund.

• Brown mulch, $25 per Bobcat scoop
• Black mulch, $25 per Bobcat scoop
Deliver costs to Ada and the surrounding areas is $10 per load. Delivery to the Kenton and Lima areas is $20 per load. Deliveries are available on Saturdays.
Community Economic Development Center at Ohio Northern University to present entrepreneur workshop on women in business
The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University continues its entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, April 23. The workshop will be preceded by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.
The Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic celebrates its 100th anniversary in August, but unless more volunteers step up to the plate, the fate of the popular event is in question.
Bernie Mackey, president of the organization, shared that information with two communities groups on April 17. He spoke at the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce meeting at 8 a.m. and again at the Ada Community Improvement Corp. (CIC) meeting at noon.
Mackey said that nine key members of the organization’s board agreed five years ago to stay actively involved until the 100th celebration this summer. After this year’s event, those persons plan to step down from the board.
