93 pairs of socks, 29 pairs of shoes and lots more in Santa's bag

Santa's bag just became heavier thanks to fines paid by Ada library patrons this month.

His sack now includes:

• 93 pairs of socks
• 29 pairs of shoes
• 2 pairs of boots
• 3 pairs of gloves
• 2 hats

This is updated total including what was collected for the Ada Public Library's Feet with Fines and ONU Women/Heterick Library.

These items were donated to Helping Hands in Kenton, according to Amanda Bennett of the Ada Public Library.

Silent auction nets Ada Public Library over $1,100

The Ada Public Library's first-ever holiday silent auction raised over $1,100 for the library, according to Amanda Bennett, library director.

She said: "We would like to thank everyone for their bids, and especially want to thank these businesses and individuals for their contributions of items for the auction."

Trilogy Health Services celebrates 15 years of caring for seniors

Trilogy Health Services, a Louisville, Ky.  based provider of senior living and health care services, is celebrating 15 years of serving seniors across the Midwest. Trilogy currently operates 74 senior living communities throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and Illinois.

Richland Manor, Bluffton, is a Trilogy Health Campus.

Ada Public Library offers excess light bulbs to public

The Ada Public Library recently updated its lighting to make it both more energy and economically efficient.  

"We've got leftover bulbs and are offering them to the public." said Amanda Bennett, Ada Public Library Director.  

The bulbs are 40 watt, 48 inch florescent bulbs.  

Donations will be accepted in exchange for the bulbs.

 

2013 Bulldog Card sale underway

The popular sale of the 2013 Bulldog Cards is now underway.  The discount card offers free food and other money-saving offers at Ada, Kenton, Bluffton and Lima area restaurants and businesses.  

The Bulldog Card is a major fundraiser for the Ada Music Boosters. according to Dave Smittle, Treasurer.

This year's cards have a new design and can be seen online at www.AdaMusicBoosters.org. The cards are good immediately and can be used throughout the 2013 calendar year.

Bulldog cards are $10 and now available from any band or choir member, grades 5-12, or in the Ada High School office during school hours.
