Spring Follies theme "Kings and Queens"

Friday on the Ada school stage - features music from the past to the present day by the legends of music

The popular Ada High School Spring Fever Follies will be held Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. 

This year’s Follies, titled "Kings and Queens," features music from the past to the present day by the legends of music. 

Musical styles range from pop and rock to musical theatre with students performing solos and large ensemble numbers. 

Graduating senior choir members will be recognized during the program.  For the fifth year Ada Junior Varsity Singers will be a part of the Spring Fever Follies. 

Forty Junior Varsity Singers members in grades 1-7 will perform three choreographed numbers. 

Expect a transformative effect

When the James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building opens in the fall

By all accounts, the new James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building will have a transformative effect on the T.J. Smull College of Engineering at Ohio Northern University. Opening in fall 2019, the 105,000-square-foot facility will be nearly twice the size of the Biggs Engineering Building and will feature space for collaboration, class projects and community-building, helping ONU remain on the cutting edge of engineering education.

Color guard auditions, student physicals, student council updates

Here's some updates for Ada High School students for next week, from the school website:

Student Council elections are Monday, May 13.  If you are interested in being a part of Student Council, pick up a petition in the library. We anticipate having the following openings for the 2019-20 school year: 8th grade: 1, 9th grade: 2, 10th grade: 1, 11th grade: 3 and 12th grade: 3.

Athletic Physicals 2019-2020 School Year: OIO offers free athletic physicals to the local area junior high and high school students, grades 7-12, for the 2019-2020 school year. The physicals will be at the OIO Lima office Monday, May 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Here's the ODOT Hardin County road construction schedule

The following highway construction is scheduled to occur within Hardin County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.

The following routes within Hardin County will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

• State Route 67 between state Route 117 and Kenton

• State Route 68 between the Logan County line and Kenton

• State Route 235 between state Route 309 and Roundhead

• State Route 273 between the Logan County line and Mount Victory
