It's high school commencement time

136th annual Ada HS graduating ceremonies on Sunday

It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.

That quote by popular author J.K. Rowling is the motto of the 2019 Ada High School graduating class.

Ada High School’s 136th annual commencement is Sunday.

The Ada HS class of 2019 will receive diplomas in a program at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 26, in the high school gymnasium.

Noah Mattson, class president, will offer a moment of reflection, to start the program.

The Ada municipal building project isn't the only hard hat area in town this summer.

There’s a major digging project underway on University Avenue as Phase II of the Ream Street project moves across the village landscape.

Estimated at $735,000, Phase II is all about storm sewers. The existing storm sewer, installed in the early 1900s is undersized, broken and collapsed.

Funding comes from a Community Development Block Grant and from the village.
