Liza DuPre' 1954-2016

Liza DuPre' died Jan. 11, 2016, in her home in Ada,Ohio. 

She is survived by her brothers Steve and Dan DuPre'.  She was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School and received her bachelor's degree at Brockport and a teaching degree from The University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

She worked as a teacher and owned her own animal care and grooming business.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the ASPCA or the Humane Society.

Jerry Crisenbery served in the Air Force in Germany

Jerry W. Crisenbery, age 76, died on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at 2:19 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima, Ohio.

He was born on Jan.18, 1939, in Van Wert County, Ohio to Lowell B. and Marjorie (Fronefield) Crisenbery who preceded him in death. He married Cheryl Combs and she survives in Ada, Ohio.

Jerry was a retired electrician having worked for Carey Electric and Tradesman International. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany.

Rev. Ronald Fry was retired from Rudolph Foods

Rev. Ronald L. Fry, 75, died on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 8:50 a.m. at residence in Alger.

He was born on April 3, 1940, in McGuffey, Ohio, to Robert E. and Jane (Newland) Fry who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1959, he married Dorthey Jean Lamb and she died on AuG. 31, 2013.

Ronald retired after 29 years from Rudolph Foods of Westminster where he worked as a fryer and he also enjoyed farming. He was a graduate of McGuffey High School class of 1958. He was a member of the Victory Chapel of Praise Harrod, Ohio.

Julia Marshall 1963-2015

Julia M. Marshall, 52, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1963, in Kenton, Ohio to Rev. Tom and Elsie (Conley) Marshall who preceded her in death.

Julia was an avid photographer.

She is survived by a sister, Kathy Risner of Lima; nieces and nephews: Michael, Katina, James, Nate, Cassie and Jacob; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Matthew Marshall and William Marshall; and a sister, MaLinda Marshall.

Ruth Brown worked at the Ada Herald for 26 years

Ruth M. Brown, 95, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at 10:30 P.M. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on June 18, 1920 in Ada, Ohio, to Ernest P. and Ethel G. (Montgomery) Klingler who preceded her in death. On Nov. 19, 1937 she married Russel A. “Bud” Brown and he died on May 9, 1999.

Ruth worked at The Ada Herald for 26 years and was also employed by Ada Schools as a High School Study Hall monitor for a few years, along with being a farmer’s wife. She was a life-time member of St. Paul’s UCC of rural Ada and attended very faithfully until December 2015.
