Priscilla K. Anglemyer 1943 - 2016

Priscilla K. Anglemyer, 72, died on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 6:17 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. 

She was born on Sept. 26, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, to Joe and Mary (Losey) Rose, Sr. Her father and step-mother, Jean Rose, survive in Auburndale, Fla. Her mother preceded her in death. On Nov. 19, 1961 she married Richard L. “Dick” Wyss who died on Feb. 23, 1976. Priscilla later married Paul Anglemyer on June 7, 2002 and he survives in Forest.  

Funeral for Owlsburg tavern owner David "Rico" Rodriguez on Friday

Editor's Note:  David "Rico" Rodriguez  was the owner of Owlsburg tavern, also known earlier as Van's Corner. The tavern was located on the corner of State Route 235 and Old U.S. 30, north of Ada. As announced in the Icon last fall, he had planned to open Cherico's Restaurant in that building.

David S. “Rico” Rodriguez, 47, died on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at his residence in Bluffton. 

He was born on May 2, 1968, in Coldwater, Ohio to Henry and Betty (Henderson) Rodriguez who preceded him in death.  On Oct. 2, 1993, he married Cheryl R. Shasky and she survives in Harrod. 

Randall Dirmeyer 1954-2016

Randall E. “Randy” Dirmeyer, 61, died on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11:08 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

He was born on July 5, 1954, in Allen County to Paul E. and Violet Grace (Kenton) Dirmeyer who preceded him in death.  On Sept. 22, 1973 he married Paula C. Asher and she survives in LaFayette.

 Randy was a welder at Remlinger Manufacturing in Kalida.  He attended Allen East High School.  Randy served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from Sept. 1, 1972 through Feb. 22, 1973.  He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp. reserves for six years.

Joseph R. Frattarola 1935-2016

Joseph R. Frattarola, 80, died on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Lima Memorial Hospital following a lengthy battle with pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Virginia (Risman) Frattarola; his son, Gary J. Frattarola and his wife Hyun; his daughter, Aniela Meinhaldt and her husband Kevin; grandchildren Anthony, Victoria, and Noelle; his sister Rose Rocco and her family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Smigowski.

Born on Dec. 2, 1935, to the late Giuseppe Frattarola and Josephine (Smigowski) Frattarola, he spent his early years in Port Chester, N.Y. and Norwalk, Conn.

Betty Fisher was retired from Ada schools

Betty R. Fisher, 81, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 2:38 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

She was born on April 18, 1935, in Hardin County to Eldon and Ruth (Rainsburg) Decker who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1953, she married Warren J. Fisher and he died on Jan. 24, 1992.

Betty retired from Ada Schools where she worked in the school cafeteria. She was a longtime 4-H Advisor and she was a former member of the Liberty Grange. Betty loved to quilt. She loved her family and she loved being a farm wife. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada.

Services Saturday for Dr. Dale Wilhelm, former ONU vice president for academic affairs

Dr. Dale L. Wihelm, a former ONU faculty member, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at Riverside United Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

A memorial service was Saturday, April 16,  at Trinity United Methodist Church, Columbus.    

Dr. Wilhelm served as a professor of chemistry and as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at ONU until his retirement in 1991.  In 1993, he became faculty emeritus.

He is survived by his wife Norma, children Teresa and George, Laura, Hoyte and Terri, Kyle and Jennifer, 13 grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
