Monday's musical choices in Ada include The Cadets and The University Singers

Two major musical events of the summer in Ada take place the same evening and both are free and open to the public.

• The Cadets perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 20, in the stadium.

• The University Singers will conclude their national tour ONU with a home concert at 8 p.m. on Monday in the Freed Center.

For those who may wish to see both programs, one could view The Cadets during dress rehearsal at 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the stadium, then have Monday free to attend the University Singers at the Freed Center.

June 30 Hardin Leadership program focus is nonprofit organizations

• Need training on how to manage a nonprofit organization? 
• Want to understand how to garner resources to make a nonprofit fiscally function? 
• Interested in social entrepreneurship? 

Mark your calendar for a 1 p.m., Thursday, June 30, program that will address these issues. The session is at Henry's Restaurant banquet room, 995 N. Detroit St., Kenton.

Join Hardin Leadership Inc. and the Hardin Leadership 2016 participants to attend a training opportunity focused on the Nonprofit Sector. 

Orange shirt day in the Ada park - It's a HOBY day

Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) returned to Ad last week.

HOBY is a four-day leadership seminar for over 200 high school sophomores from northern and western Ohio held June 9-12 at Ohio Northern University, according to Katie Ferren, co-director of Community Service.

The HOBY program inspires students to recognize their leadership talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders in their homes, schools, workplaces and communities.

Lunch is over, let's go play

Students selected to present at ASEE conference

Three Ohio Northern University engineering students have been selected to present at the 123rd American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Annual Conference and Exposition in New Orleans from June 26-29.

Alexandra Seda, a senior electrical engineering major from Columbiana, Ala., Nathan Craft, a senior civil engineering major from West Alexandria, Ohio, and Adam Berry, a junior mechanical engineering major from Brunswick, Ohio, will present on their Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Landscape.

Engineering student selected to co-facilitate at sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit

Ohio Northern University student Alexandra Seda, a senior electrical engineering major from Columbiana, Ala., has been invited to co-facilitate at the White House-sponsored sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University from June 22-24.
