Lawrence Vivolo served in the U.S. Air Force

Lawrence C. “Larry” Vivolo, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 11:24 a.m. at The Springs of Lima, surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 10, 1942, in Warren, Ohio to the late Lawrence C. and Frances (Sherock) Vivolo. In August of 1994 Larry married Marilyn L. Shadley and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Also surviving are his four children: Larry Vivolo of Scotstboro, AL, Tony (Shannon) Vivolo of Las Vegas, NV, Candace (Rob) Malyszek of Moorpark, CA, and Shane (Natalie) Coleman of Alpharetta, GA; five grandchildren: Daniel, Alyssa, Austin, Kaden, and Bailee; and a sister, Nancy Flaviano of Niles.

U.S. 68 closure in Dunkirk beginning March 22

U.S. 68 between Washington Street and Wayne Street in the village of Dunkirk will close on Tuesday, March 22, for approximately three days for railroad repairs.

Detour: U.S. 30 to SR 235 to SR 81 back to U.S. 68 (see map).

A proverb: "he who sleeps forgets his hunger." You do not notice hunger when you are fast asleep. This has significance for your health, especially the impact of the pandemic. For the last few years, we have focused on the current crisis of COVID-19. We may have been so focused that other critical parts of our health lapse. Several studies have published data that we have been ignoring some important health issues.
