Jeana Ryan was a civil engineer

Jeana Elise (Fox) Ryan, 48, of Monticello, Wisconsin, was welcomed home by God on March 18, after a 2 year battle with metastatic melanoma surrounded by family and friends. 

Born on November 28, 1973, Jeana was raised in Ada, Ohio by the late John Harry Edward Fox and Joyce Elaine (Zimmerman) Fox. After graduating from Ada High school in 1992, Jeana was to receive a degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University in 1996. There she was very active with cross country and indoor and outdoor track. 

Men's Golf begins spring schedule

Third place finish at Muskingum Spring Invitational

The Ohio Northern men's golf team opened its 2022 spring season with a third place finish at the Muskingum Spring Invitational on Monday at the Zanesville Country Club.

The Polar Bears (20-21-4 overall) tied for third out of six teams with Muskingum with a 308. Otterbein won the team title with a 300, Capital was second with a 307, Marietta was fifth with a 330 and Hiram was sixth with a 364.

Junior Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) led ONU with a third place finish out of 54 golfers with a 2-over par 74.

Ada Schools Honor Roll for 3rd quarter

The Ada Exempted Village Schools have announced the folloing 3rd Quarter Honor Roll for 2021-2022.

Paul Baughman was a U.S. Army veteran

Paul Earl Baughman, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 9:04 a.m. at Hospice of Cincinnati at Anderson Inpatient Care Center.  

Paul was born on March 11, 1947, to the late Earl F. and Gertrude M. (Knierman) Baughman. 

Paul is survived by a son, David (Nicole) Baughman of Blanchester; two daughters: Brittany Baughman of Columbus and Brenna Baughman of Westerville; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; three brothers: John (Susan) Baughman, Robert (Rita) Baughman, and Ray (Becky) Baughman; four sisters: Wanda Baughman, Mary Garrigan, Nancy (Hal) Hardesty, and Jean (Robert) Miller; and a special friend, Janette Clifford.

Ambulance Board meeting rescheduled for April 11

The ambulance board meeting has been rescheduled from April 18 to April 11, according to Nancy Kindle, Fiscal Officer for the Ada-Liberty Joint Ambulance District.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the EMS building, 530 N Gilbert St, Ada.

AAA3 is conducting a community needs assessment to help capture the service needs in Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert Counties.

This information will assist in the development of Area Agency on Aging 3’s 2023-2026 Strategic Area Plan. Information gathered from this survey will assist in the planning and implementation of services, supports and resources in our local community.
