Between Two Bookshelves continues faculty spotlight

Destigned as a way of helping faculty get to know each other, Ohio Northern University's IT, Ed Tech, and CAFE are collaborating on a series of interviews with faculty, called "Between Two Bookshelves."  The spring series begins with Taylor Hannam-Zatz interviewing Lauren Logan, Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Bulldog grappler Bulerin 3rd at regionals, qualifies for girls state wrestling event

MARYSVILLE – Ada freshman standout Marley Bulerin finished third at the girls regional wrestling meet in the 125 lbs. weight bracket at Marysville on Sunday, March 5, to become the first Bulldog female to qualify for the inaugural OHSAA state meet.

Bulerin ended up third out of 20 girls in the 125 lbs. bracket at the regional competition.

“Marley wrestled a really good tournament, she went in as the five seed and out-performed that, as we were confident she could,” said Ada head wrestling coach Eric Perkins.

Shirley Ruth High owned High Ceramic Shop

Shirley Ruth High, age 87, of Lakeview, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at The Greens of Lima. (Photo)

She was born on June 6, 1935 in Ada, Ohio to the late Eugene and Mozelle (Bullock) Thompson.  On June 14, 1951 Shirley married Nick High, Jr. and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2012.

Community meeting at 6:00 p.m. for athletic conference discussion

Ada Exempted Village Schools will hold a community meeting Monday, March 6, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the school auditorium. 

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information regarding athletic conference membership. There will be an opportunity for public comments and a time for the public to ask questions.

March 7, 2023 - 6:30 p.m meeting
Village of Ada Regular Council Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at 6:30 pm. Personnel Committe meeting to follow immediately after.
