Apollo Career Center board meeting for April 2023

The regular board meeting for Apollo Career Center is scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held in Apollo's Board room.

Letter: USV seeking cheerleading sponsors

The sponsor form is attached HERE.

The Upper Scioto Valley High School Cheerleaders are seeking 30 sponsors to help cover some of the costs associated with our program. Sponsorship slots cost $200 and will include your business logo on the back of 100 t-shirts to be thrown at our football and basketball games. There will be 10 logos on each set of 100 shirts. All sponsors will receive ONE free shirt, a personal thank you from the squad, and a shoutout on our facebook page. If you wish to fill multiple sponsorship slots, please email or call Coach Brittanie Prichard. 

Colonel Robert Stull was a U.S. Army veteran

Colonel Robert Stull, age 73, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 10:52 PM at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. 

He was born on July 21, 1949, in Lima, Ohio to the late William Vernon and Catherine Rose (Gottfried) Stull.  On June 28, 1969 Robert married Marsha J. Casper and she survives in Ada.

Carland Leroy Watkins worked for Superior Coach

Carland Leroy Watkins, age 82, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 8:25 a.m. at his daughter’s residence in Canal Fulton, surrounded by his family.  

He was born on February 20, 1941, in Alger, Ohio to the late Ralph and Beatrice (Hunneman) Watkins. On April 11, 1959, Leroy married Betty M. Newland who preceded him in death on April 14, 2015.

The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy is ONU season finale

Ohio Northern University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts will present its grand finale to the 2022-23 theatre season with The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy. Made possible with underwriting from Quest Federal Credit Union and the Committee on Cultural and Special Events, performances are slated for April 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. and April 29 and 30 at 2 p.m. at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
