Sheriff Keith Everhart has announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Hardin County Citizens Sheriff's Academy to be conducted consecutive Tuesdays beginning March 8 and running through April 19. The sessions are planned for 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheriff's Office, 1025 S. Main St., Kenton.
The Academy will provide participants with a working knowledge of the Sheriff's Office. It explains the various aspects of the Sheriff's responsibilities using classroom and hands-on participation to provide an overview of the talents, skill, diversity, and quality of the Sheriff's Office. Opportunity is provided for questions and expression of concerns and ideas.

The Hardin County Astronomy Club will meet Wednesday February 9 at
7:00 p.m. at the McGuffey Village multipurpose room which is behind the post
office,
Topics scheduled for the meeting include: Some Astronomy Terms with definitions and examples, the constellation Gemini, and sharing sketches of the constellation Gemini that each person has done.
April 9 event includes Reverse Raffle and meal ticket sales

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, the Ada Athletic Boosters will hold the Annual Reverse Raffle at the Harrod Community Center, 9520 Harrod Rd, Harrod, OH. Members of the community may support the event by purchasing raffle and meal tickets, as well as by donating auction items.
The organization provides $30 to each junior high and senior high athlete to help with the cost of shoes, shirts or any other item that coaches may request. This past year the athletic boosters have supported:

The Hardin County Democratic Party will host its annual Presidents' Day Luncheon on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Kenton Moose Lodge (lower level) located at 801 West Lima Ave., Kenton, OH.
Candidates scheduled to speak include John Cranley (Cincinnati Mayor) for Governor, Cheryl Stevens (Cuyahoga County Council) for Lt. Governor, Jeff Crossman (State Representative) for Attorney General and Jeff Sites (Army veteran and warehouse manager) for US Congress.
