The Avengers now showing at Ada Theatre

James Curliss of The Ada Theatre announced that "The Avengers" (PG-13) is now showing  at the theatre. Click for a video preview.

Show times follow:
Friday and Saturday - 7 and 9:55 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday matinee - 4 p.m.
Sunday through Thursday - 7 p.m.

May continues to be busy even though it's the final month of school

It's coming to a close - the 2011-12 Ada school year. Here's a list of some of the year-end events on the school calendar.

5/15: Jr. High/6th Grade Band & Choir Concert
At 7 p.m. in the Auditorium

5/16: Senior Honors Banquet
At 6 p.m. in the Cafeteria

5/18: Spring Fever Follies
Chicken BBQ dinner: 5 - 7 p.m. in Cafeteria
Dinner Entertainment: 6:15 - 7 p.m.
Spring Fever Follies 7 p.m. in Auditorium

5/21: HS Band Concert
At 7 p.m. in the Auditorium

Physicals for 2012-13 season May 14 for Ada athletes

The Orthopedic Institute of Ohio (OIO) will offer physicals on Monday, May 14, for any Ada student. Ada’s time slot is 6 – 7:30 p.m. Student athletes must have a physical form filled out prior to the physical. These are physical forms in the high school office and online at OHSAA.org.

Let's go haunting at Ada High this weekend

Ada High School presents  "A Haunting We Will Go," Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13. The tickets are $4 for students and $5 for the general public. The performances are Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 13, at 2 p.m. 

Peg Gordon is the director/Drama Club advisor. Amy Stover is the production assistant.

Ada HS baccalaureate, commencement, alumni banquet set

Several Ada High School end-of-year traditions continue in a few weeks.

The high school baccalaureat is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, in English Chapel on the Ohio Northern Unversity campus.

Ada High School commenement is Sunday, May 27, in the high school auditorium.

The Ada High School alumni banquet is at 5:40 p.m., Saturday, June 2, in the school cafeteria and auditorium. The building opens at 4 p.m. of the event.
