Senior dance at the ReStore July 22

A senior dance will be held from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, at ReStore, 210 N. Main St., Ada. Walter Miller will play your favorites.

County Line Church of Brethren car show July 11

County Line Church of the Brethren's 9th annual car show is planned Saturday, July 11, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Road, Harrod.

Registration is from 11 a.m. to noon. The show is from noon to 3 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee with door prizes for car owners plus Top Ten Awards presented.

A chicken barbecue takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $8. Call the church office, 419-649-5364 for tickets.

The show also includes children's activities with face painting and a bounce house. Funds generated from the afternoon are used to pay for the church's new activity center.

You might call it "Ada's own antique road show" when Anne Stratton comes to town this week

Ever have an antique sitting on a shelf, tucked away in a drawer or sitting in a corner and wonder if it is valuable?

Anne Stratton, Lima, is an expert appraiser. She will be at the Ada Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, to give free appraisals, two items per person, (no guns, Bibles, coins or stamps).

She has been on the popular PBS Antiques Roadshow, has appraised antiques for more than 40 years, and has done appraisals at the local library many times.

Maybe she can place a value on that old vase, painting, quilt, or photograph that you've been wondering about. Check it out.

It's Bingo in Ada every Thursday night in July

Ada Bingo plays every Thursday at the Alumni N-men’s Building in downtown Ada in July.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Bingo begins at 6:55 p.m. Ada Bingo uses new, radio-controlled electronic machines, as well as, traditional paper packages. Proceeds from Ada Bingo benefits the Ada Lion's Club, Ada Music Boosters and the Ada-Liberty Volunteer Fire Department

And, on the third Thursday of each month, the special Bonus Nights continue at Ada Bingo.

These hugely popular Bingo Bonus Nights are held on the third Thursday of each month.

It's "Toy Story" under the stars Friday night

You can watch a free outdoor movie in Ada on Friday night. 

That's right. And, Woody and Buzz Lightyear will be there.

The movie, Toy Story, will be shown on a 40-foot screen on the Ohio Northern University tundra. This is the second of three free outdoor summer movies sponsored by The Freed Center for the Performing Arts and Bluffton Hospital.

The movie starts at dusk. ReStore will sell pop, popcorn and candy during the movie. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie under the stars.

This is the first full length animated film, and it was a blockbuster produced by Pixar and distributed by Disney in 1995.
