Members of the public are invited to attend a town hall meeting featuring U.S. Congressional Representative Jim Jordan. The event will be held from 6:‐8: p.m. Monday, April 24 in the South Hall of the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima. The town hall is sponsored by Allen and Hardin for Election Action and Democracy (AHEAD), in partnership with other groups in Representative Jordan’s district.
Jim Jordan (R‐Urbana) has represented Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District in the US House of Representatives since 2007 and is a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus.
ONU will host a steel band festival beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 in the north gym of King Horn Center on campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
In addition to the ONU Steel Band, bands from Bowling Green State University, Toledo School for the Arts, Clark Montessori School, Lima Arts Magnet School and the Ohio Avenue Steel Band from Columbus will join the headliner, Tracy Thornton, for a high-energy rock ‘n’ roll concert.
The Ada Alumni Association will hold a golf outing at Colonial Hills Golf Club on Saturday, June 3, to provide local students with scholarships. To reserve a team spot, visit the Ada Schools website and look under the Alumni tab or contact an association officer. Officers are Sara Gulbis Rush, LeAnn Compton Pryor, Karen Krofft Simon, Kurt Klingler, Garrett Fleming and Arlene Lasko Allison.

The Hancock Park District (HPD) is facilitating a series of self-guided float trips with HPD Shuttle Service this spring that cover approximately 37.6 miles of the Blanchard River from Blanchard River Nature Preserve to Blanchard Landing. Cost is $20 per person, per trip, and preregistration is necessary.
Max Gauthier, the tech expert at the Ada Public Library, will hold a hands-on virtual reality session at noon, Saturday, April 15, at the library. This will be a time to experience virtual reality and ask questions!
