You are cordially invited to a wedding…in the Ada High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23.
The Wedding Singer, Robbie Hart, will be there! No gifts please; gift us only with the honor of your presence.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased presale in the high school office from 8:30-3:30 Monday through Friday, or at the door.
Join in the festivities, with the cast of 50+ Ada Junior High and High School students, musicians and crew.
Plan to attend the special receptions beginning one hour prior to the Friday and Saturday night performances.
Friday night, at 6 p.m. the cast will host a “Dollar Dance Reception” in the school cafeteria. Donate to dance with a cast member of your choice.
At 6 p.m. Saturday join the Music Boosters in the cafeteria for a "Wedding Cake Reception." Monetary donations accepted to vote for your favorite wedding cake.
"The Wedding Singer" is a 1980s inspired show with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Beguelin and Tim Herlihy. It is based on the 1998 Adam Sandler film of the same name.
The musical revolves around Robbie Hart, the Wedding Singer. Born a true romantic, Robbie is devastated when he is stood up at the altar by his fiancée.
Will this heartbroken rocker get a second chance at romance before new love, Julia, marries a Wall Street shark? Only time will tell.
The Ada High School production features Reece Evans as Robbie Hart and Ashley Briedenbach as Julia.
Scott Henning, vocal music instructor, is the director while Jonathan Lischak, Instrumental music instructor, will conduct the band.
