Wouldn't you know - school is cancelled on the day that Ada second and third graders were scheduled to perform a musical "Snow Way Out."
The musical is rescheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 1:15 p.m. with a repeat performance at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Musical synopsis
The new owners of Winter's Wonderland Resort, Jack and Jackie Frost, are ready to have a fun winter season. However, guests are beginning to arrive and there is no snow.
Everyone is anxious as they wait for Old Man Winter to finally arrive so the fun can begin.

A spring book fair is underway this week at Ada elementary. The fair opened Monday and runs through Thursday, according to Chanda Smith, media specialist.
A special evening opening for families is planned Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. during the second and third grade musical presentation.

This school year experienced fewer snow days that last winter. And, it appears that Ada second and third graders plan to do something about that.
Their answer is "Snow Way Out!" a musical with two performances on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Ada school auditorium. Performances are at 1:15 and 7 p.m.

Fred Steiner of the Ada Icon is the guest speaker at the Wednesday, Feb. 26, OWLS meeting in Ada.
The program is at First United Methodist Church with a noon luncheon followed by a talk by Steiner about the Ada Icon.
The local news website was launched in March 2012. Today it experiences over 10,000 individual viewers in a 30-day period, has 70 advertisers, over 2,700 Facebook followers and posts an average of 50 stories each week.
The Hardin County Astronomy Club will meet tonight, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the McGuffey multipurpose room, behind the post office on Courtright Street. If weather conditions allow, there may be some observing if sky conditions allow. Otherwise, the club will have a program.
FROM BLUFFTON ICON - A daddy-daughter dance, Elsa's winter wonderland ball, takes place Saturday, Feb. 22, at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road.
Tickets are $20 per couple for members and $40 per couple for program participants. Each additional daughter is $5.
It's an evening of "Frozen" enchantment of music, dancing and other fun events. Girls may invite their father or a special role model. Call 419-358-4150 for reservations.
