Yes, the Liberty National Bank in Ada (and at its other locations) will give away free hotdogs between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday, July 23. It’s National Hot Dog Month! Here are some mouth-watering facts about the popular dog:
Americans eat 155 million hotdogs on the 4th of July each year
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, 7 billion hotdogs are consumed in the U.S
26 million hotdogs a year are eaten at U.S baseball stadiums
7-Eleven sold over 100 million hotdogs in 2017, but none in Ada
Sale. Sale. Free. Those are words that shoppers like to see. Ada’s sidewalk sale began today and continues on Thursday and Friday with most merchants open from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. (Monty Siekerman photo)
Perhaps you’ve heard of the time value of money. This is a concept that financial advisers and parents(!) try to impress upon young adults, making them aware that money invested early is worth more than money invested later in life. Investopedia.com says: “The time value of money draws from the idea that rational investors prefer to receive money today rather than the same amount of money in the future because of money's potential to grow in value over a given period of time.”
First at 10 a.m., second at 1 p.m., space is limited
