New Vision Medical Laboratories, Lima, announces a new competitive price schedule for their outreach lab sites, including an Ada location, according to Georgianna McKissick.

“Although, we are affiliated with Mercy Health, we can process lab work from any provider. We also accept most insurances.” she said.

Liberty Bancshares completes $13 million capital raise

Liberty Bancshares, Inc. announced that it has closed on the sale of $13 million of the company’s common and preferred stock in a private offering.

The company netted $12.4 million in proceeds that will support organic growth and expansion of its subsidiary Liberty National Bank.

"The stock offering was very well received by both local and institutional investors," said Ron Zimmerly, Liberty bank's president and CEO.

One of the Ada area's newest business, The Frosting Studio of Bluffton, wants you to be ready for Halloween.

"Join us in our Hallween cupcake workshop," says Debra Stockford, shop owner. "You'll take home a Halloween cupcake 6-pack when the workshop is completed."

Stockford said the workshops are Saturday, Oct. 20, and Oct. 27, at her business location, 142 E. Jefferson St., Bluffton - located in Tommy Plaza.

Ada chamber planning a "sweet" Oct. 20 event

Sweetest Day in Ada includes drawing for a dinner at The Inn at ONU

Ada Area Chamber of Commerce has sweet plans for Saturday, Oct. 20, according to Deb Curlis, chamber director.

"Come downtown to celebrate Sweetest Day on Oct. 20," she said. "Visit our shops and enjoy a special sweet treat from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m."

Shoppers may also register at the following participating businesses to win a dinner gift certficate from The Inn at ONU.

LNB has been celebrating its 125 anniversary this week. Mary and Charles are directors emeriti of the bank, both having served many years as directors.

Mary, as a bank director, cut the cake for the bank’s centennial 25 years ago.

Liberty National Bank’s open  house on Wednesday featured an historical display of the bank’s past, a buffet luncheon, and an opportunity for customers and business leaders to gather together.

Liberty National Bank has been celebrating its 125 anniversary this week. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday the financial institution will hold an open house at 118 S. Main. And, there are prizes and giveaways.

Their ATMs have gone wild. Some of the $5 bills have been swapped with $20s and some $20s for $50s. Make a withdrawal and you could get extra cash.

Also, sign up to win a $125 VISA gift card. In addition, those who open a new checking account will receive $125 (some restrictions apply).
