Fortunately, there are various apps and methods to help you develop plans and budgets to set you on track to meet your goals. However, budgets and plans are only effective if you use them.

Dear Darling Boutique

There’s a new boutique in town and the owners, Rayel Rose and Rachel Daley, were having an open house on Saturday. Dear Darling Boutique is temporarily located at 202 S. Johnson, but will move into the Charter Realty Office near McDonald’s in mid May. Watch for more Ada Icon stories about the new business closer to the time when they open in what was the carriage house for one of the oldest homes in Ada.

Successful Comedy Nite

Center on Central’s first Comedy Nite was sold out on Saturday. Owners JR and Linda Mason said there probably will be more comedy acts in the future. Laughter from the crowd indicated they enjoyed the Ft. Wayne comedians Rick Reader and Jason Dixie.

Large antique auction in Bluffton April 28

Farthing Real Estate & Auctioneers, Findlay, will hold an auction involving many antique idtems from the Thomas Hursey collection in Bluffton, at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 28.

The auction is at 357 S. Jackson St., Bluffton. It includes antique furniture, primitives, bottles, jars, guns, glassware, figurines, and other items.

(Well, when it comes to incorporating and eating more veggies in your diet…..YES!)

Spring is in the air….Well, kind of. LOL

 It’s that wonderful time of year when we look forward to everything coming to life again. Flowers blooming. Gardens being planted. Grass growing (well, unless you don’t like mowing). If you are like me, this comes with mixed feelings. I love all the possibilities of spring, but quickly feel overwhelmed by all there is to do.

Bank offers free document shredding

Liberty National Bank, 118 S. Main, Ada, will offer free document shredding the week of April 30. The bank is open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Friday from 8:30-5, and Saturday 8:30-noon.

The bank will have available locked containers for individuals to drop off unwanted paperwork to be destroyed. Limit the shred to 5 boxes no larger than 20” wide x 10” high.

This is a free service to the community to help fight identity theft. It is estimated that as many as 9 million Americans have their identities stolen every year.
