Columbus Zoo Mobile brings the zoo to Ada; it's an Ada Friends event

Ada Friends, a mentoring program involving Ohio Northern University students teaming up with youth (called "Littles") from Ada schools, are headed to the zoo.

Actually, the zoo is coming the Ada Friends, according to Austin Hilverding, student coordinator of the program.

"The Columbus Zoo Mobile provides outreach programs to schools and groups just like Ada Friends," Hilverding told The Icon.

"They are coming to Ada on Saturday, March 29, where they will be set up in the ONU the Chapel Sanctuary," he added.

Cecil Hale, 1926-2014

Cecil Hale, 88, died on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Coshocton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Coshocton, Ohio.

He was born on February 12, 1926 in Alphoretta, Kentucky to John Hale and Eva (Whitaker) Hale Patton and they preceded him in death. On October 18, 1952, he married Berneice Cornwell and she preceded him in death on January 9, 2003.

to view project books, ask questions, and complete registration paperwork.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors has unanimously approved a Competitive Balance proposal that makes modifications on how schools are placed in tournaments in team sports. The plan, recommended to the Board from the 27-member OHSAA Competitive Balance Committee, is similar to the proposal that member schools voted upon last spring.
