The Mayor of Ada has called a special meeting on April 8, 2025 at 6:30 pm for the consideration of employment of a public employee or official under Section 121.22(g)(1) terms of employment of a public employee. The Council will go into executive session after calling the meeting to order with no action to be taken.

At the semi-annual congregational meeting on March 31, 2025, the congregation of Grace Gospel Church, 323 N. Gilbert Street, approved Dr. Jeff Price as interim pastor.

Dr. Price is replacing long-time minister Trent Boedicker, who has accepted another ministerial position. Dr. Price has been a member of the Grace Gospel Church since his youth, serving the church as a member of the Board of Deacons for nearly 40 years.

State Wildlife Officer Ryan Kennedy, assigned to Hardin County, received a complaint concerning hunting without permission. A landowner had a trail camera photo of a suspect hunting on their property. Officer Kennedy contacted the suspect and found they had hunted white-tailed deer on the landowner’s property without a valid hunting license. The suspect was cited for hunting without permission and hunting without a license and paid $350 in fines.

KENTON -- OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital is expanding MRI availability with appointments will be available on two upcoming Saturdays this spring: April 26 and May 3. Beginning on May 19, MRI services will be offered every Monday (except Memorial Day), Tuesday, and Friday, ensuring consistent weekday availability for patients in Hardin County and surrounding areas.  

By increasing MRI availability, the hospital aims to reduce scheduling barriers and provide more timely diagnoses for conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and other medical concerns requiring advanced imaging.
