Hardin County Insight program March 28 in Kenton

The first Hardin County Insight of the year is Thursday, March 28, at the Kenton Elks at 7:30 a.m. with opportunities to network and enjoy a continental breakfast.  The program begins at 8 a.m. and features different speakers at each meeting. “County Insight” also includes brief presentations from the Alliance staff.

Guest speakers for county Insight will be Lisa Frantz, Center Director, Kenton Community Health Center, and Jacqualine Fitzgerald, leading the way with a grass roots project for Murray Park splash pad.

4.2 inches of snow fell on March 25

ONU "snow" ball game postponed

The Ohio Northern baseball team's game on Wednesday at Wander Field against Albion (Mich.) has been postponed due to heavy snow. No make up date has been announced.

The Polar Bears are next scheduled to play on Friday, when they open open up OAC play at home with a double header against No. 4 Marietta at 1 p.m., weather permitting.

Ohio Northern is currently 6-6 on the season. Stay tuned to ONUsports.com for the latest updates.

Drew Keriazes shatters school record in 200 breast on final day of NCAA III Championships

Senior Drew Keriazes shattered his own school record in the 200 breast on the fourth and final day of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday afternoon at the Conroe Natatorium in Shenandoah, Tex.

He also combined with senior Marc Anderson, junior Jordan Breitigam and junior Christian Garlock to finish 24th in the 400 Free Relay in 3:11.71.

Keriazes finished 19th in 2:04.47, beating his school record by nearly two seconds.

On Friday, Breitigam earned Honorable Mention All-America honors by finishing ninth in 1:47.46, which broke his school record set in the prelims Friday afternoon.

Call Mother Nature

Someone call Mother Nature, please. Tell her that spring has sprung. Needless to say the snow keeps falling on March 25. School is cancelled and several other events are delayed or postponed.
