Becky Lease was a retired administrative assistant at ONU Sports Center

Private family services will be held at a later date

Becky S. Lease, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 6:46 p.m. at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 29, 1947, in Marion County, Ohio, to the late Donald and Leona (Downs) Clapsaddle. On Sept. 29, 1966, Becky married Thomas G. Lease and he survives in Ada.

Becky is also survived by her two sons: Eric (Devin) Lease of Marysville and Kyle (Sarah) Lease of Hilliard; and a sister, Anita (Earl) Woodruff of Pataskala.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Clapsaddle.

 Becky retired from Ohio Northern University, Ada where she was an Administrative Assistant in the Sports Center.

And, concerning the Bluffton photo, Mr. Johnson was a former Bluffton barber. The photo shows a cornerstone to his barber shop, now the Steiner and Granger Insurance and Financial Services office, 141 N. Main St., across from the Bluffton town hall on Main Street.

BELLEFONTAINE - The Ada tennis team lost a tough 4-1 battle at Bellefontaine Monday evening in its season-opener.

The Chieftains improved to 2-0 with the win, while Ada is 0-1.

Sophomore southpaw Dexter Woods III posted the lone Bulldog win in straight sets at second singles. 

"I thought since it was the first time playing in a high school match for seven of our nine players that they did pretty well," said Ada head coach Dexter Woods.

Dalton hits, pitches Lady Bulldogs past HN 

She smacked a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning to give the purple and gold a 3-1 lead.

DOLA - Ada senior Leona Dalton slammed two three-run homers and pitched the visiting Lady Bulldog softball team to a 15-5 win at county rival Hardin Northern Monday evening.

Ada improved to 1-0 this season with the season-opening win, while HN fell to 0-1 with the loss.

Dalton led a 15-hit Bulldog offensive attack with four hits and six runs batted in. She also struck out six Polar Bear girls over seven innings to earn the pitching victory.

DOLA - The visiting Ada baseball team rallied to edge county rival Hardin Northern 10-9 Monday evening to win their season opener.

Ada improved to 1-0 with the victory, while HN fell to 0-1 with the defeat. 

Bulldog sophomore right-hander Roman Snyder earned his initial pitching victory, while senior Jacob Morgan finished in relief to receive his first save.

"Itís always nice to get the first win of a season," said Ada veteran head coach Jason Campbell. "The boys never gave up, chipped away at their lead, and played hard for seven innings.

Section of County Road 60 closed for 4 weeks

Beginning Wednesday, March 31, Hardin County Road 60, between Hardin County Road 75 and Liberty Township Road 85 will close.

According to the Hardin County engineer's office the closure is for a bridge replacement and that section will be closed for four week.
