So, you think you missed yesterday’s Vancrest beginning of summer parade? Think again.
Vancrest provided the Icon with a video and there’s a bonus. In addition to filming the parade participants, there’s a sweep of the Vancrest crowd, with Don Traxler in the pole position.
This is one of several parades that have taken place for Vancrest residents since the covid-19 limited person-to-person contacts.
Ohio Northern Univesity turns 150 this school year. The party sign should now be in place. The Icon watched the progress yesterday. Check out the remaining photos in this series to catch a glimpse of the signage.

Interested in history?
Ada’s newest organization is also interested in history. Specifically Ada’s history.
Ada Historical Society, formed in 2017, will hold a carry-in dinner from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 27, at the Ada Park's new shelter house.
The event is open to persons interested in learning more about the history of the community. This is the first public event of the group since the winter of 2020.
The organization was off to a great start in the fall of 2017. At that time the group decided to officially organize, set meeting dates, elect officers, work on a constitution, non-profit status and set up a membership structure.
