The ONU Baja team is putting the finishing touches on their vehicle for this year's race in Gorman, Calif. The engineering students designed, built, tested and will race the vehicle over rough terrain. The off-road competition is sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers.

It's time to dig in the dirt and buy your mulch from the Ada Lions Cub. The annual sale of mulch begins Saturday at Bass Trucking, 0410 SR 81, just west of Ada.
The Lions have awarded more than $67,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates since the mulch sale began in 2000.
To order, call 419-634-5626 or 419-302-5897. Brown mulch costs $30 per Bobcat load while black mulch goes for $35.
Mulch can be picked up after 8 am on Saturdays. Deliveries are also available on Saturdays for $10 in the Ada area and $20 in the Kenton and Lima area.

Nora Dellifield broke the Ada High School pole vault record two days in a row. She went 8'7" Tuesday at Parkway and cleared 9'0" at Ben Logan on Wednesday.

Sodexo, the food service that has operated the dining areas at ONU for many years, is beginning a catering service for the campus and Ada area.
To introduce their new effort, called Flavours, Sodexo held an open house in McIntosh Center ballroom on Tuesday, to showcase the various offerings to university officials and community leaders.

The fare offered is extensive and the table settings are beautiful.
One table setting was decorated with earth tones to go along with Earth Week which is being observed nationally this week.

Garrett Duktig, president of the ONU Recycle Club, holds arm loads of computer devices and cameras that were turned into the club for recycling on Tuesday.
ONU and local residents are invited to dispose of their unwanted electronic equipment and other items to protect the environment by bringing them to Heterick Library between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Open Gate will be held at Dunkirk Community Center, 152 N. Main St. from 11 am until 1 pm on Thursday, April 27. Open Gate is a collaboration of service providers that are able to offer immediate response and referrals for life needs, such as employment, housing, childcare, physical and mental healthcare. Open Gate is held monthly by the mental health and recovery board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin counties.

A paper presented by Ohio Northern University student Alexander Klouvas, a junior accounting major from Fort Wayne, Ind., and Dexter Woods, professor of business administration, won the award for the outstanding paper published in the proceedings of the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business as part of its recent annual conference in Chicago. The paper was titled “Me-Too Evidence in Age Discrimination in Employment Cases: The Progeny of Sprint v. Mendelsohn.”
