The Ada boys soccer team was voted a six seed at the 12-team Tiffin Columbian sectional/district draw Sunday, October 10.

The Bulldogs (5-7-3) host ninth seed Elmore Woodmore (3-10-2) Wednesday, October 20 at 5 p.m. in sectional first round action.

The winner advances to play in the second round at fifth-seeded Cory-Rawson (7-6-3) Saturday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.

Ada beat visiting C-R by a 4-1 count September 22.

Bluffton (10-3-1) is the top seed and received a first round bye. Van Buren (10-2-2) was seeded second, with Mansfield Christian (9-5-1) voted third.

The Ada volleyball team fell in three sets to Upper Sandusky in non-league action Monday night, October 11.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-18 with the 25-11, 25-13, 25-17 defeat.

Ada junior Courtney Sumner hit three kills, served one ace and mustered up 11 digs.

Senior Selena Jordan knocked down three kills and came up with five digs. 

Sophomore setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 11 assists and came up with seven digs. 

Freshman Lily Baumgartner smacked four kills and made one block, while senior Lexi White hustled up nine digs. Sophomore libero Josie Phillips was credited with six digs.

Bulldog junior Emilee Huffer added one block.

The visiting Ada boys soccer team defeated Marion Harding decisively 4-1 Thursday night, October 15, to end the regular season on a high note.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-7-3 with the convincing non-league victory, their second straight win in four days. 

Carter Conley netted two goals to pace Ada. 

Logan Jolliff tallied on a penalty kick, and Nathan Williams scored the other goal.

Colton Long made seven saves in goal.

The sixth-seeded Ada boys host ninth seed Elmore Woodmore (3-10-2) Wednesday, October 20 at 5 p.m. in Div. III sectional first round action.

Visiting Miller City defeated the Ada girls soccer team 7-1 in the regular season finale Thursday evening, October 14, on Senior Night at War Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs dropped to 2-11-1 with the non-conference loss. 

Powerhouse Miller City improved to 10-3-3 with the victory.

The visitors built a commanding 5-0 lead by halftime. 

Sophomore Olivia Burkhart netted the Bulldog goal on an assist by classmate Ella Marshall. 

It was the last home game for Ada seniors Olivia Green, injured Timber Blankenship and Hailey Robirds, Julia Kamatali, Lauren Mullins and Olivia Thomas.

The Ada volleyball team lost a tough three-setter to visiting Spencerville in the Northwest Conference finale Tuesday, October 12, on a special Senior/Volley for the Cure Night.

A total of just over $1,900 dollars was raised to fight breast cancer. A big and loud crowd was on hand to cheer on the teams, mostly clad in symbolic pink. 

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-18 and 0-8 in the NWC with the 25-13, 25-20, 25-22 defeat.

Spencerville improved to 11-8 and 2-6 in the NWC to avoid a last-place tie with the Bulldog girls and finish tied for seventh with the sweep.

Visiting Ada fell behind early and lost 5-0 to local rival Bluffton in the Northwest Conference finale Wednesday evening, October 13, at Steinmetz Field.

Injury-plagued Ada dropped to 2-10-1 and 0-5-1 in the NWC after the loss. 

The Pirate girls improved to 11-3-1 overall and 5-1 in NWC play with the convincing makeup game victory. 

Defending league champion Bluffton finished second in the league standings to Columbus Grove (6-0). 

Bluffton built a 4-0 lead in the first 17 minutes.

Pirate Riley Eachus scored in the very first minute off an Allison Diller assist to put the hosts on top.
