KENTON – The Ada High School swim team faced county rival Kenton in a meet Tuesday, January 28, at the Hardin County YMCA on Senior Night.
The Bulldog girls lost a close dual bout to the hosts, 81-63. The Ada boys fell to the Wildcats, 84-35.
Kenton won the combined boys/girls meet, 165-98. Ridgemont also had a few individuals compete as the Gophers totaled 15 points.
“What a great senior night,” said third-year Ada head coach Ashley Robey. “Excellent turnout from the community in support of them and the team.
“We had a lot of great races,” she added. “On to sectionals.”
Ada senior ace Lily Baumgartner touched first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. Lady Bulldog junior Lydia Demascio also won the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle.
Both girls also swam legs for two winning Bulldog relay quartets.
Ada seniors Kennedy Jones and Baumgartner were recognized.
