JOELTON, Tenn.—The Ohio Northern women's golf team finished as the runner-up in the eight-team Music City Shootout on Sunday at Nashville National Golf Links.
The Polar Bears (48-4 overall) shot a second-round 326 on Sunday after shooting 337 on Saturday for a final score of 663 in the 36-hole tournament, which was hosted by Rose-Hulman (Ind.)
Otterbein won the team title with a two-round score of 626. Mount Saint Joseph was third with a 696.
Junior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) led ONU, finishing fourth overall in the 56-woman field with an 18-over-par 160.
Freshman Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) was right behind in fifth place, finishing with a 164 after shooting a 76 on Sunday to match the lowest score of the round.
Sophomore Amelia Burger (Centerville) tied for ninth with a 170, and sophomore Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) tied for 12th with a 171.
Senior Isabella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) rounded out the ONU squad with a 179 to finish 22nd overall.
Otterbein's Becky Williams won the individual competition by one stroke over teammate Rachel Hatley after shooting 77 on both days for a 154.
The Polar Bears return to action on March 27-28 at the DePauw (Ind.) Classic.
