Ada’s school calendar is set, with two changes added today, according to the school website.
The following are changes to the Ada Schools calendar for the 2020-21 school year:
• Thursday, August 20 - Virtual Open House
• Monday, August 24 - First Day of School for Students
• Also, there will be no 2-hour early releases or professional development days during the first semester.
The remaining dates on the 2020 portion of the calendar follow:
Aug. 17 – Preparation day for staff
Aug. 18 – Preparation day for staff
Aug. 19 – New teacher day
Aug. 20 – Preparation day for staff/virtual open house
Aug. 21 – Preparation day for staff
Aug. 24 – First day of school
Sept. 7-8 – No school – Labor Day and County Fair Day
Oct. 16 – End of first grading period
Nov. 11 – No school – Veterans’ Day
Nov. 23 – Parent/teacher conferences
Nov. 24 – No school, parent/teacher conferences
Nov. 25-27 – No school, Thanksgiving break
Dec. 18 – End of second grading period
Dec. 21 – Jan. 1 – No school winter break
The second semester schedule is to be determined. The currently-planned calendar is in the attachment below.
