Trilogy Health Services celebrates 15 years of caring for seniors

Trilogy Health Services, a Louisville, Ky.  based provider of senior living and health care services, is celebrating 15 years of serving seniors across the Midwest. Trilogy currently operates 74 senior living communities throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and Illinois.

Richland Manor, Bluffton, is a Trilogy Health Campus.

Founded on Dec. 12, 1997, Trilogy’s customer service-focused culture embraces the tenants of servant leadership and exceeding the expectations of all customers, including residents, family members, employees and members of the community at large. This customer-oriented approach to care is evident at all levels of the organization.

Midnight showing of "The Hobbit" Thursday at Ada Theatre

The Ada Theatre is hosting a midnight showing of The Hobbit on Thursday, Dec. 13.  The film is the long awaited addition to the Lord of the Rings franchise.  

Warner Bros. studios provided the following summary:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug.

Donna Jean Scholl, 1960-2012

Donna Jean Scholl died at 11:32 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at the Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 3, 1960 in Lima to Robert S. and Kay (Johnson) England.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" (Jacob) Hardesty of Lima and Kim A. Scholl of Ada; a brother, Mike (Sharon) England of Urbana; a sister, Pam (Matt) Snider of Yerrington, Nev.; and two grandchildren.

She was a cashier at the Meijer Store in Lima for five years and was a 1978 graduate of Ada High School

She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1978 to 1982.

There will be no services for Donna "Jean" Scholl. It was her request to be cremated and have no services.

Martha L. Coates, 1915-2012

Martha L. Coates, 97, died at 11 a.m. Dec. 11, 2012, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.

She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Jackson Township to Clinton E. and Neva E. Akerman Fisher, who preceded her in death. On July 9, 1938, she married Lewis D. Coates, who died May 20, 1989.

Mrs. Coates was a homemaker. She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lafayette, and its WELCA women's group.

Survivors include three sons, Charles (Jane) Coates, of Harrod, Roger (Marcille) Coates, of West Newton, and Thomas (Joan) Coates, of Pemberville; a daughter, Rose (Bruce) Roberson, of West Newton; and 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Eugenie K. Dunbar-Kidd, 1916-2012

Eugenie K. Dunbar-Kidd, age 96, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 8:15 a.m. at her residence in Ada.

She was born on June 11, 1916 in Freeman, South Dakota to Ludwig F. and Friederika (Hermann) Schamber who preceded her in death.

She first married William Henry Dunbar and he died August 8, 1950. She then married Robert H. Kidd and he died on May 13, 1980.

In her early years, she worked for a Dry Cleaning Company and Lima Packing Company.

She was employed at Bluffton College in the cafeteria and Pickerington Security Services, where she worked as a guard.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of LaFayette.
