St. Mark Lutheran free community meal March 27

St. Mark Lutheran Church is hosting their monthly free community meal on Wednesday March 27, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church.

All are welcome.

Easter Bunny hopping in at Richland Manor for all-ages egg hunt

Games and prizes are on the agenda for an all-ages Easter Egg Hunt at Richland Manor, Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.  The event will include complimentary refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Identity theft avoidance is topic of latest Lunch and Learn

Sheriff Keith Everhart will speak at the latest community Lunch and Learn on Thursday, April 4 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Community Health Professionals building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

Presented by Liberty National Bank and Community Health Professionals, Sheriff Everhart will talk about the danger of identity theft and tips on avoiding becoming a victim of it.

Lunch is provided but reservations must be made.

Top-seeded Kyle Kwiat becomes ONU's first four-time All-American

Top-seeded senior Kyle Kwiat became Ohio Northern's first-ever 4-time All-American, while senior Jeremy Jones and sophomore Cody Lovejoy were both eliminated with two losses on the first day of the NCAA III Wrestling Chapionships Friday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
Kwiat (43-3), the defending national champion and three-time All-American at 174 pounds, advanced to the Semifinals with a convincing 18-0 tech fall victory over Zach Zotollo of New Jersey in the Quarterfinals Friday night.

He had a first-round bye and won by a 9-3 decision over Ryan Pieper of Trine (Ind.) in the Second Round Friday afternoon.

ONU to host District 6 Science Day

More than 200 students will compete in the Ohio Northern University District 6 Science Day in the Meyer Hall of Science and the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences on Saturday, March 23. Judging begins at 9:30 a.m., and an awards ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m.
        
Students in grades five through 12 will display their scientific research and technological design projects on behalf of the Ohio Academy of Science.

Men's tennis picks up 7-2 nonconference win over Wittenberg

The Ohio Northern men's tennis team picked up a 7-2 victory over nonconference foe Wittenberg of Saturday at Westwood Tennis & Fitness Club.

The wins moves the Polar Bears to 4-4 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 9-2.

ONU swept all three doubles courts to begin play.

Freshman John Mostowy and junior Josh Saunders won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

The No. 1 doubles team of senior Joey Frank and junior Do Thai and the No. 3 doubles tandem of sophomore Sam Prewitt and junior Blake Troller won 8-3 on their respective courts.

In singles play, Thai cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
