ONU's 200 medley relay earns H.M. All-America honors with 15th place finish

Ohio Northern's 200 medley relay team of seniors Drew Keriazes and Marc Anderson and juniors Jordan Breitigam and Christian Garlock earned Honorable Mention All-America honors on the first day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday afternoon at the Conroe Natatorium.

The team finished 15th in the finals in 1:32.25 and became the first men's relay team to earn All-America honors in ONU history.

Ruth Riley was a 1948 Ada High School graduate

Ruth (Wince) Riley, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:30 a.m. at Columbus West Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born on March 23, 1931 in Weston, Illinois to Homer and Rose (Lorch) Wince and they preceded her in death.

Ruth was a homemaker. She was a 1948 graduate of Ada High School.

Surviving are a son, Jason (Cindy) Riley of Columbus; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; four brothers: Glen (Maxine) Wince of Harrod, George (Carol) Wince and Charlie (Fran) Wince both of Ada and Leslie Wince of Lima.

Easter Bunny coming to Ada Park Sunday afternoon

The Easter Bunny is coming to Ada this weekend and you are invited to meet him.

The Ohio Northern University Kappa Alpha Theta, zeta sigma chapter, is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 24, in the War Memorial Park and shelter.

The event is open to families and children of all ages. 

The prizes are large chocolate bunnies that will be given to the children who find "special eggs," according to Gracie Vining, chair of the event.

The event will also have ONU students doing face painting.

Earlier this winter Jason Hunt became general manager of the Ada McDonald's. The Ottawa resident has 16 years of McDonald's experience including being interim manager at Delphos and assisting in new training programs in the company. "We have many loyal customers in Ada," he said. "You get to the know the regulars rather quickly here."

"The Croods" starts Friday at Ada Theatre

"The Croods", an animated movie in which, according to IMDb, "the world's very first prehistoric family goes on a road trip to an uncharted and fantastical world" starts on Friday.

The movie will run from Friday March 22 through Thursday, March 28

Showtimes are:

Friday and Saturday 7 p.m. and  9 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Daily shows at 7 p.m.
